The Board of Directors for Synergy for Women Business Owners (Synergy4wbo), has added three new members who will assist the organization in its mission of increasing opportunities for small business owners, particularly men and women of color. The company’s overall goal is to provide a diverse and inclusive community that supports, emboldens and cultivates minority and women-owned businesses.
Synergy4wbo, a 501c3 nonprofit, was co-founded by two women of color; Dr. Kim R. Grimes and Shirley Vincent, who are banking on their approach to dramatically alter the current narrative for minority and women business owners. The company has supported over 50 successful small businesses for more than three years and launched its first cohort for 2021 with five women business owners from around the US. The organization also taps into its successful network of corporate executives and entrepreneurs for support, which now includes its new board members.
Rebekah Flohr is an executive at Deutsche Bank, Charlotte Jensen is a recent Entrepreneur and Sathana Collins, a Human Resources Generalist, currently serves as the Senior Administrator for Synergy4WBO, providing administrative support not only to the current cohort, but also to the entire Synergy4WBO community.
“We are so pleased to announce the appointment of these three incredible women to the board of directors for Synergy4wbo, because their collective skills and expertise will bring invaluable contributions to our efforts, as we foster collaboration, innovation and creativity in underserved communities, through mentorship, networking, marketing, entrepreneurship education, as well as access to capital for minority and women business owners” says Kim.
